Tactile Reinforcers
The term tactile reinforcement simply refers to rewarding your dog for correct behavior by physically touching him immediately after he engages in the targeted response.
If you touch your dog in a way that he finds rewarding, immediately after he makes the targeted response, and that results in an increase in that response, then, we say that the act of touching the dog constituted a tactile reinforcer.
