Gladdening Voice, also known as a Gladdening Tone
The term gladdening tone refers to a warm, supportive, reassuring tone of voice.
This website will tell you how to pair your gladdening tone with certain words, as well as with events that your dog finds intensely pleasurable, in a process of classical conditioning, that will ensure that your gladdening tone and the words associated with it will become so pleasing to your dog that he will gladly cooperate with you in exchange for the opportunity to be spoken to in that manner.
Your gladdening voice should be easily recognizable to your dog and readily distinguishable from any other tone of voice that he normally hears you use.
The gladdening voice is also a vital ingredient in a successful do this - not that, procedure.
Ideally, you should develop a gladdening voice in which you can shout, whisper, and everything in between. That is necessary, because you need to be able to dispense vocal reinforcers from any distance.
